Body Armor Suits

for various sizes

Body armor is designed pretty much like a robot is. Choose the armor type at first, then choose body parts which the armor will protect. Average 3cf, 150lbs, 5'9" (175cm) human:

Head: 0.25cf, 2.5 sf (Face is 0.42 sf, Helmet eyeslit is 0.08 sf, neck is 0.36 sf)
Arms: 0.125cf, 1.75 sf (Hands are 0.175 sf and so are elbows)
Body: 1.5 cf, 8 sf (Chest, abdomen and groin have each one third of this area.)
Legs: 0.5 cf, 4 sf (Feet are 0.4 sf, knees are 0.3 sf)
TOTAL AREA: 22 sf.

These are used just like the one in GURPS Robots, except that body-armor materials tend to be lighter and/or more expensive than those used by robots and vehicles of the same TL.

Camouflage & Threat Protection options from Robots can be used with body armors of appropriate TL. Empty space may be added into the armor in order to contain electronics and other gadgets.
